90 Plus Wine Club has a wide range of wine varietals grown in the rich Napa Valley and its surrounding areas. The collection comes from an assortment of vineyards and heavily favors red wines, but also includes whites and a few roses. 90 Plus Wine Club doesn't work with just any vineyard. Instead, it establishes a relationship with each vineyard partnered with to provide the best possible wines to its members. In fact, 90 Plus Wine Club even works with the vineyards, fine-tuning their offerings, thinning crops, adding or subtracting rows where necessary, and improving upon the planting, growing, and harvesting practices until each partner produces the finest grapes.

In addition to the standard bottles, 90 Plus Wine Club also has 29 lovely premium selections to choose from, ranging from the current collection of June 2019, reaching back to January 2010. Beyond these collections, 90 Plus Wine Club offers a specialty bottle once every quarter. These selections are unique blends that aren't available through the more traditional retail outlets, so they're usually something special that wine collectors will enjoy.
These bottles range in price based on the varietal, year, and other details. At the time of this writing, the special offer was a bottle of Chardonnay from the Rutherford Ranch Winery ‘s 2015 collection. A full-bodied wine with bright acidity and an elegant finish, this chardonnay was a Double Gold San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition award winner.
In addition to individual orders, 90 Plus Wine Club offers serious wine connoisseurs the option to join its elite club. Membership benefits include automatic shipments, lower shipping rates, and access to local wine storage services in Japan. Additionally, members will enjoy special invitations to VIP wine tours held by the 90 Plus Wine Club exclusively for its members, concierge services within Napa and the surrounding areas, invites to wine seminars and tastings, and entry into the tri-annual wine tastings help by 90 Plus Wine Club.
There are two types of membership plans available, Wine Member and Platinum Member. Membership benefits will be discussed below.
One aspect of joining the 90 Plus Wine Club is the savings you'll enjoy. Members get a significant discount on shipping for all orders placed. The 90 Plus Wine Club also provides members with discounts on the individual wines ordered from the collections. Here's a breakdown of the membership plans available from 90 Plus Wine Club:
The 2 membership levels work as follows:
- Wine Member
The standard Wine Member membership costs $300 upon signup and has an annual fee of $100. At this level, members will receive two shipments of a single 12-bottle case each year. Wines range from $600-$700 per case generally, with freight and import taxes costing approximately $180 per case. This is significantly discounted, considering these taxes usually cost $250-$350. Membership benefits include wine storage services within Japan, invitations to special wine tours in the Napa Valley, concierge services within the Napa and surrounding area, invitations to wine seminars and tastings in Japan, and a complimentary ticket to the tri-annual wine tastings held by 90 Plus Wine Club.
- Platinum Member
Platinum members enjoy three instead of two shipments per year with lower freight and import taxes, only $150 per shipment. Membership fees for this level are $200 per year and a $600 registration fee. Platinum membership benefits include all of the standard member benefits plus, an additional wine tasting invitation, priority on special offer wines, private dinner at a designated winery with the owner, vertical wine tasting with a winery and winemaker, wine tours, and more.
90 Plus Wine Club also allows you to re-order wines that you’ve enjoyed in the past. There is a one-case minimum for re-ordering, but the case can be a mix of any twelve bottles from the previous premium selection, as long as you choose three bottles of each wine type for the case. 90 Plus Wine Club gives members a 10% discount on orders of $600 or more, providing further savings.
Annual membership fees and registration fees are charged at the beginning of the first year. The following year’s annual fees are waived, assuming you’ve ordered at least a case within the membership year.

3. Adrian Fog Oppenlander Vineyard Pinot Noir
