To care.com
To care.com ! Thank you for great opportunity to get some clients! I would like to understand why would care.com book someone before having conversations to see if we were a good fit , especially for dog walker in my situation? Also clients not able to see my schedule . Instead daytime the send their requests for night time schedules. Could you , care.com, please explain functionality of your site?

Unprofessional Crooks
Not only do they force you to take their stupid, expensive subscription, they won't even refund you when you want to close the account and they've charged your account the same day. Clearly if I want to cancel, it means I'm dissatisfied- why would you force me to use services I don't want??? Contacted customer service TWICE and got disconnected the first time when I asked for a manager, and the second time after waiting another 45 minutes in the chat line, I was abruptly "hung" up on. Their agents are a piece of unprofessional crap. The topper is that they have NO phone customer service, only chat which makes the experience soooo worth the while *sarcasm*. I wouldn't ever use Care.com even if THEY paid me.

I have had two sitters that I reached…
I have had two sitters that I reached out to. One set up a meet and greet, then cancelled last minute due to her cat. I messaged her back for a reschedule and she ghosted. Second sitter- good communication at first- then cancelled two hours before start of sit saying she missed her bus. Her profile said she had a car- no mention of a bus. I had to cancel my dr's appt. I contact care.com, spoke to someone through a live chat, they are in another country, and couldn't give me a live number to talk to someone about the last minute abandonment of care. Not cool. Considering that these are animals and humans, some very vulnerable- children, people with disabilities, elders, it is a gross negligence of care to not have any oversight.

Best for: Homecare users that need a reliable system for paying care staff and staying compliant with tax regulation

Price range: $75 per month billed quarterly

Key features: Payroll, tax, and HR

Apps: No. Web based.

Integrations: No.

Care.com HomePay Ease of Setup and Use

Getting set up on Care.com is very straightforward. The good news for those not ready to come to grips with a complex desktop program is that it’s an entirely web based system — so users can do everything they want from a familiar browser like Google Chrome or Firefox.

Care.com also takes care of all federal and state tax documentation on users’ behalf so once set up on the platform users merely need to submit working hours and payment due for all users registered to the system and it will be automatically processed. Paying care workers legally is extremely straightforward using Homepay.

Care.com HomePay Features

Payday Processing

Homepay works by requesting that the user submit details of tax withholdings for all the home care employees that are registered on the platform. After inputting this information, the system administrator is sent an email reminder before each payday with a full summary.

If users need to make changes, they can log into the online user interface at care.com/homepay and make any necessary adjustments to the pay stub for each registered carer. If users don’t have any changes to make, then Care.com will process their standard payroll automatically.

Full Documentation Archive

For home carers and facility managers that need a detailed documentation record, Homepay’s online interface provides a full historical documentation archive containing all payroll-related documentation associated with the account. Whether users need to retrieve a copy of last month’s pay stubs or from a date in the past, they are all securely stored in an online archive.

Employees get their own pay stub and Care.com can even print and dispatch paper cheques if users require.

Full Tax Processing

Worried about getting your paperwork completed on time and in accordance with state and federal law? Homepay handles all compliance aspects of accounting and payroll and submits all mandatory documentation to the relevant agencies securely and on time. The system can also prepare and submit end of year paperwork in January. Forms processed and submitted include the W2, schedule 8, and the state reconciliation paper. Like the paystubs, a full archive is available.

Care.com App

Homepay is a totally web based solution. There are no smartphone apps to worry about.

Care.com Customer Support

Homepay customers enjoy unlimited access to Home.com’s Texas-based HR and payroll specialists who are able to provide advice upon all issues within their areas of subject matter expertise. The client site is accessible from any computer and users can also submit support issues through the portal.

Homepay is a popular tool among users and enjoys a high average customer satisfaction score on both Google and Facebook.

Bottom Line

With Homepay, paying care workers legally can actually save you money. Looked for help with a 73 year old friend.
Got on the site to look for some help for a friend. Could not find anyone that I felt comfortable signing up with. After reading all of the terrible reviews, I am now seeing that I should not have signed up with them to begin with. Unsubscribing is difficult. There's no way to delete my account. With finances being so strapped as it is, I'm worried that this sweet 73-year-old woman that I'm trying to help is going to get scammed. At first it looks like it's Rover for humans. Upon further inquiry it seems to be just like any other scary online medical Care company.
