Overall, Plenty of Fish seems to offer competitive pricing. Although the premium subscription still includes extra in-app purchases that could add up, its base costs are similar to those of other dating platforms, such as Tinder, making it one of the best dating sites for cost-conscious users.
There are many features you can use on Plenty of Fish without having to pay. For instance, you can use search filters to look for matches, send a limited number of likes, and take part in live streaming.
Non-paying members have one highlight a day. This lets you send an instant message to any profile that you have yet to match with. When you’ve matched with someone, you can send a limited number of instant messages. However, note that you won’t be able to see some deeper sections of a member’s profile (known as an “extended profile”) without a paid plan.
After talking to another member for a while, you will reach “conversation status.” This gives you access to three additional messaging features: voice messaging, voice calling, and sending photos directly within your chat. You can only use voice messaging and calling on the Plenty of Fish mobile app, however.
Because you can match and communicate with other members for free, it seems very realistic to expect to get a date without having to pay.
When you upgrade your account, you can try special premium features. As a paying member, you can use the platform ad-free, upload 16 images to your profile, see more details on others’ profiles, see when someone has read your message and viewed your profile, send an unlimited number of likes, and have a first look at new members.
You can also search for anyone by their username, view every member’s full profile, see who has liked you, and get more highlights per day. Although you are still limited in how many instant messages you can send, a premium account will provide you with a generous increase.
If you have a premium account, you can also use tokens to purchase extra features, such as sending more likes and receiving a profile boost to be seen by more members.

On Plenty of Fish, members can use search filters to look through profiles and match with other singles by sending likes to start a conversation.
To get started, head to the Plenty of Fish website and click to sign up. You will be asked to enter the following info.

After registering, you will answer some multiple-choice questions to create your profile. The first set revolves around the type of relationship you want and the kind of person you are looking for. The questions then focus on your lifestyle, occupation, and physical features.
You must write a profile headline (you can ask a question or share an interesting fact) and type the most important thing you want others to know about you. Once completed, you will need to verify your account by adding your phone number.
Before using Plenty of Fish, you must upload at least one photo of yourself. To add photos, go to your menu tab and click Edit Profile. You can upload up to eight images from either your device or Facebook account.
With your profile ready, you can now look for a match.
Begin searching for dates by choosing your match preferences. To do this, head to your menu tab and click Search. Here you can filter profiles by gender, physical appearance, education, location, relationship intent, education, ethnicity, distance, religion, children, and lifestyle habits such as drinking and smoking.
You can also search nearby matches and people who are currently online.
To browse profiles, click on the Meet Me page. When you are interested in someone, you can like their profile. If they like you back, you become a match. A red notification button will let you know when you have matched with someone. You can communicate with matches via instant messaging.
Before arranging to meet with a match, of course, it’s helpful to know what safety features are in place.
Plenty of Fish uses several security measures to help keep you safe. It regularly gets its systems and applications reviewed for any potential issues by an internal security team as well as outside security firms.
In addition to your phone number, your photos will also be verified before they are posted on the site.
The Plenty of Fish privacy policy says it collects information about your usage and device, as well as information you provide such as your profile details, the types of people you would like to meet, and details about your conversations with other members.
Because Plenty of Fish is part of Match Group, joining the site could mean your information is shared with their partners. The company is affiliated with popular dating platforms such as Hinge, Tinder, Match, and OkCupid.
The mobile app for Plenty of Fish is available on Google Play and the App Store. The app includes all the same features as the website version, as well as voice calls and messages. It has a straightforward design and is easy to use.

The platform has a no refund policy. Tokens, in-app purchases, upgraded account purchases, and subscriptions are non-refundable. You can only request a refund if someone gets access to your account and makes purchases using your credit card. However, if you receive a refund for fraudulent purchases, your account will be deleted.
If you signed up via the website, you can cancel or change your subscription on either mobile or desktop. On your phone, go to the menu bar and tap on the Account page. On desktop, find the menu at the top and click on the Premium page. You will see instructions asking if you would like to cancel.
To cancel app subscriptions, you must visit either the Google Play store or the App Store. Tap on your profile icon, followed by Subscriptions, where you will see an option to cancel.

Both Plenty of Fish and Tinder help find matches by sending likes to other profiles. The apps for both sites have more features than the desktop versions, but the main difference is that Tinder has video chat, and Plenty of Fish has live streaming.
Plenty of Fish is designed for singles looking for either a serious relationship or a casual fling. Match meanwhile, is for people who specifically want to meet their soulmate. To help you find the one, Match has regular themed events you can attend, video chat, and an online dating coach.
Bumble is a dating app where only women can send the first message. Plenty of Fish, on the other hand, lets anyone start the conversation. On the apps, you can send pictures through instant messaging. You can also use video chat on Bumble but only voice chat on Plenty of Fish.
With lots of daily users, Plenty of Fish is a good dating platform to find other singles. You can expect typical features such as instant messaging and finding matches through search filters. As Plenty of Fish provides limited features on a desktop, you’ll probably have better luck if you download the app.
