The WORST

I believe MovingApt removed my wife’s post, so I’m sharing our experience again because people deserve to know what they’re actually signing up for. Back in January 2026, we reached out to MovingApt to book movers for a cross-country move happening in June 2026. We chose MovingApt because, at the time, the quote and payment structure fit our budget. Our representative Ian assured us that our belongings would be handled with care and that, before our pickup window of 6/16-6/18, a moving company would be assigned to our move. Unfortunately, that was not what happened. On 6/8, we were scheduled to speak with our new representative Stephanie to finalize details for the move. During that call, she informed me that movers had still not been assigned and that the purpose of the call was actually just to review the inventory of items being moved. This was concerning because we were only days away from our scheduled pickup window. By 6/16, our move still had not been assigned and communication was extremely limited unless I initiated contact myself. I was calling and texting dispatch every two to three hours just trying to get updates. At one point, a representative answered and actually told me she wasn’t supposed to answer my call. Finally, on 6/17, the move was assigned. However, we still did not know when the movers would arrive on 6/18 until after 5 PM on 6/17, when we were finally given a pickup window of 10 AM to 2 PM. What was never disclosed to us was what would happen to our belongings after pickup. The moving company assigned to us, Bright Way out of Nevada, picked up our belongings in San Diego and transported them to a Public Storage facility in San Jose, where they sat for about a week. Then they were moved from San Jose to another Public Storage facility in Nevada, where they sat for another week before eventually being shipped to Minnesota. We only knew this because we had an AirTag in one of our boxes. We watched our belongings being moved in and out of storage almost daily for close to three weeks. At no point was this process clearly communicated to us. Then, when our belongings finally arrived in Minnesota, only one person showed up to deliver an entire household. Because of that, I personally had to help unload the truck and move our belongings into our apartment. I paid nearly $3,000 for a moving service, yet I still had to do the work I was paying them to do. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. When we began unpacking our belongings, we discovered that multiple items had been damaged during the move. Heavy boxes had clearly been stacked on top of lighter, fragile items. We had picture frames damaged, glassware that had been carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and blankets broken, a desk with significant chips, and damage to one of our dressers. These were not just random items in boxes. These were our personal belongings, things we trusted MovingApt and their assigned movers to handle with care. I understand that moving is complicated and that unexpected issues can happen. However, what we experienced was a complete lack of communication, transparency, and coordination from the beginning. The fact that we had to constantly chase updates, track our own belongings through AirTags, help unload the truck ourselves, and then deal with damaged items afterward was incredibly frustrating. When you trust a company with everything you own, you expect honesty about the process and confidence that your belongings are being handled properly. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with MovingApt. Do your research before trusting this company with your move.

I wrote a review praising Moving APT…

I wrote a review praising Moving APT after initial contract arrangements with Carl Cannon. But I have to take back everything I said. I am still dealing with a more horrible experience than I could have imagined. It all started with the moving company that APT contracted with: I had labeled every single piece of furniture, and numbered all the small and medium boxes, matching the initial contract and the Bill of Lading prepared by Moving APT ( with a total moving cost of $8,315; and I am a one-person household), but when the Moving Company (“Moving Relocation”, which is located in the same area of Florida as “Moving APT”) showed up, they said I had more than they contracted for and that they wouldn’t load their truck unless I gave them an additional $1,500. They told me to “ fight it out with Moving APT”. Since I had a plane flight cross-country in 2 days time, I didn’t have a choice but to give them the additional money. Then, my belongings showed up TWO MONTHS LATE! and after a month and a half of weekly “it should all be there sometime soon, a week or two” messages from APT. The lateness cost me another $500, from having to buy things I hadn’t planned on, like everything needed to cook and eat a meal! When my belongings DID show up, the driver refused to unload the truck unless I gave them an additional $1,500! You want to talk about Mob Thugery?! But what sent me over the top was Carl Cannon having told me during contract discussions that I should pay an additional $200 for “special handling” of my very expensive table saw (telling me that they would chain it down to the floor of the truck and wrap it with multiple blankets, and that a saw as expensive as mine should get that kind of protection ). When it arrived in mid-April, almost EVERY SINGLE PART of the table saw was broken!, including parts made from cast iron. I am just this week ( 3 MONTHS AFTER DELIVERY!) getting to the end of finding, buying and installing replacement parts! That Moving APT “cares about their customers” is absolute BS! Their scam is that the Moving Broker blames the Moving Company and vica versa! I thought about filing suit, and felt confident that, with all my records as evidence the suit would be successful, but assumed that I’d loose even more in Attorney and court fees than I lost to their criminal behavior! I hope the lot of them ( Carl Cannon, Joe Menahem, Riberto Moncada, etc.) rot in H**LL!

Worst moving company

1.Bait-and-switch pricing: The original quote provided was $3,000. However, upon arrival on the pickup date, the driver unexpectedly informed us that the price had increased to $5,600. While the initial quote included our mattresses and side rails, it omitted the headboards; we are concerned this exclusion may have been a deliberate tactic to lower the initial estimate. 2. Significant delivery delays & broken promises: Our furniture was initially scheduled for delivery on May 11th. Unfortunately, due to extensive delays, we did not receive our items until June 1st. Prior to booking, we explicitly emphasized that we were leaving the country on May 16th and repeatedly confirmed with multiple representatives that they could meet this deadline. They assured us numerous times that it would "not be an issue," yet completely failed to deliver. 3. Hostile customer service: When we raised concerns regarding the severe delay, instead of offering a resolution, a customer service supervisor resorted to intimidation. We were threatened that because their base is in Fort Lauderdale, any attempt to pursue legal action would require us to travel there personally to attend court. This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. And there are many more pitfalls than you can possibly fathom.

Horrible the worst.been waiting for my…

Horrible the worst.been waiting for my stuff. Was told it would be delivered on Saturday or Sunday today is Tuesday and I was told to call back next Monday. I was told 3 to 15 days now that said 21 business days the picked my stuff up 2 weeks ago and it's still 1200 miles away. This is ridiculous. I almost forgot.. when they came to pick up my stuff they were a day and a half late. They showed up at 730pm with 1 person to move all my stuff.leaving my son and me to have to load all the heavy furniture into the truck. If I ever see my stuff again I will be realy surprised
