Moving APT at a Glance

Moving APT is a professional moving broker that connects customers with licensed movers to handle various relocation needs. Their competitive pricing model and extensive network make moving easy, especially for long distances. Moving APT now services moves to and from Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, as well as offering financing options for customers.

What Is Moving APT?

Moving APT is not a direct moving company; it is a moving broker that partners with certified and insured movers across the U.S. Whether you are planning a local, long-distance, or corporate move, Moving APT simplifies the process by finding reputable movers that match your budget and timeline.

Unlike most brokers who book a move and then hand it off to the carrier, Moving APT takes full responsibility from booking through delivery and beyond. The carrier’s sole role is transportation—Moving APT remains the primary point of contact throughout the process to ensure clarity and consistency. To enhance customer experience, they have established an In-House Department dedicated to direct communication while the carrier is present, preventing any miscommunication. Additionally, they handle claims internally, eliminating the need for customers to navigate carrier disputes.

With over two decades of experience in the moving industry, Moving APT focuses on transparency and affordability. They ensure all their partners are licensed with the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), reducing risks for customers.

Whether you need full-service packing, loading/unloading, or storage, Moving APT acts as a one-stop shop for your relocation needs. Booking with Moving APT provides the reliability of a moving company while benefiting from superior customer service, broader coverage, and professional third-party oversight.

Moving APT Features

Moving APT provides a range of features to ensure stress-free relocations:

Full-Service Moves

The partnered movers offer complete moving solutions, including packing, unpacking, loading, and unloading. Whether you’re moving locally or cross-country, Moving APT handles everything.

Long-Distance Moving

Specializing in long-distance moves, Moving APT connects you with movers that handle cross-country relocations with expertise. They ensure all items are safely transported over long distances, with added insurance options for peace of mind.

Commercial Relocation

For businesses, Moving APT streamlines corporate relocations with minimal disruption. This includes office moves, equipment transport, and logistics management.

Specialty Moves

Moving APT covers specialty services such as moving pianos, antiques, heavy furniture, or delicate equipment. Partnered movers are trained to handle these items with care.

How to Get Started With Moving APT

Getting started with Moving APT is straightforward:

  1. Request a Free Quote: Visit their website and fill out a form with basic details like your moving date, origin, and destination.

  2. Receive Moving Estimates: Moving APT will provide quotes from pre-vetted movers.

  3. Choose Your Mover: Compare pricing, reviews, and services to pick the best match.

Moving APT Pricing

Moving APT provides quotes online for every move. These quotes are rough estimates, as they are based only on the distance of your move and the size of your home. You can get a more accurate quote by calling the company. However, Moving APT does not offer in-home estimates ahead of your move.

In general, Moving APT’s pricing for long-distance moves is very competitive. You can move a three-bedroom house cross-country for under $7,000, assuming you don’t need extra packing or unpacking services. Estimates for moving a one-bedroom apartment to the next state over start as low as $850.

Moving APT's prices

Note that Moving APT operates using fixed quotes. That means that you pay the quote price for your move rather than being surprised with extra fees when your stuff is dropped off. There may be extra charges for shuttle services or long carries, but your movers will notify you of these costs ahead of time.

While Moving APT only coordinates long-distance and interstate moves, many of the moving companies that Moving APT uses will work with you directly for local moves.

Optional Add-Ons

  • Packing and unpacking services

  • Storage solutions (short-term and long-term)

  • Specialty item moving (e.g., pianos, antiques)

Bottom Line: Is Moving APT Worth It?

Moving APT is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable, budget-friendly moving solution. By connecting customers to licensed and experienced movers nationwide, they take the guesswork out of finding the right moving company. While outcomes may depend on individual partners, Moving APT’s focus on affordability, customer support, and transparency makes it a strong contender in the moving industry.

A very easy move.
I had a great moving experience with Moving APT. The staff, both in the office and on the job, was polite and easy to work with. The move wound up being less than the quote I received. I have had a bad moving experience in the past, so it was important for me to hire the right people. These guys made the transition into my new home an easy one.

They lie from the beginning.
They lie from the beginning. Promise no up charges or additional fees then neglect to tell you the initial charges are broker fees, it the actual moving fee. Then they savagely underestimated the cubic feet of items to move (by 100%). So, what was initially quoted as a $4000 move ended up costing over $11,000. I have no idea how this is legal.

Nightmare
At first it was a pleasant experience and really thought that they were really going to be affordable the quoted me a good price better than any other moving company (red flag).Put my deposit down electronically signed the contract. Moving day from California too Tennessee that’s when the nightmare started. The moved ended costing more money like over 5,000 more than first quoted, and we had sign a different contract because it was a third party moving company who didn’t send the right size truck that we requested. Never again would I use APT movers and I will definitely let others know as well

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!
WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!! DO NOT USE MovingAPT!! They are NOT a moving company, they are a broker. They will subcontract the job to some god-awful moving company, who will in turn subcontract it to another horrible moving company, and so on, until there's zero accountability. Your stuff got broken in the move? Good luck figuring out who actually moved you, who to file a claim with!! They charged me DOUBLE what they initially quoted, including charging me for an additional stop WHICH NEVER TOOK PLACE BECAUSE THEIR MOVERS SENT AN ABSURDLY HUGE 18-wheeler truck that would not fit in or anywhere near my storage facility. Not only did they charge me an addt'l $250 for the second stop that never took place ... they charged it IN TRIPLICATE -- once by each moving company involved! They also charged me the $499 broker booking fee in triplicate. Their invoicing could not be more opaque. There were last minute date changes, non-existent communications, all kinds of delays. Then, when my stuff was on finally on a truck and somewhere in Baltimore (it was being moved from CT to TX, I put several AirTags in my boxes to track location), they called and said I needed to pay an additional $500, else they can't guarantee my stuff would be delivered at all!! They held my stuff hostage for ransom!! JUST. DON'T.
