Local moves will be handled by one of Mayflower's partner agents. Local services generally cover 1- or 2-bedroom houses, studio apartments, storage units, and dorm rooms. These moves can include full or partial packing services, unpacking services, trash and debris removal, custom crating (for specialty or breakable items), house cleaning, storage, and more.

• Long-distance moves

Mayflower is federally-licensed to move individuals and businesses across the country. Included in these moves are move planning, transportation, and support. You can also get additional services like having your car shipped, house cleaning for both your old and new locations, and storage services in case your new home is not ready in time for the move.

• International moving services

Mayflower works across the globe, moving people throughout 150+ countries globally. All services available for long-distance moves apply to international moves, as well. Mayflower offers several levels of moving insurance. Full value moving protection is a guarantee that covered items will be repaired or replaced if they're damaged during the move. Mayflower includes basic full value protection in every move, and you can opt to increase the amount of coverage you want as needed. There is also a minimum liability valuation option if you don't want the full value protection program.

When the tour is over, a Mayflower rep can give you a price quote that includes whichever services you want to use, the actual price of the move, and any other fees incurred.

Moving Process

Mayflower offers convenient online quotes. To get the ball rolling, get in touch with a Mayflower rep over the phone or online. They’ll walk you through a virtual tour and give you a complete price quote once you’ve given them the details, including moving dates, destination, etc. Alternatively, you can have an in-home estimate where a rep comes to your house.

If you agree to the price quote, you’ll be assigned a move coordinator. They’ll help you figure out exactly which moving services you need, answer any of your moving questions, and set things up. The coordinator will set up your dates, arranging any additional services like packing, storage, and cleaning, and coordinate any of the extra details you need.

One thing we didn’t like was that Mayflower has limited customer support options. You can send them an email via the online contact form or call them on the phone. It would be nice to have some sort of live chat feature, as well.
