How Jicki Works

Jicki programs are based on intuitive language acquisition. Thanks to Jicki, you can learn languages the same way you learned your mother tongue as a child: through listening and imitation.

You start by passively listening, for example, when you are on the subway, cleaning up, or taking the dog out. Passive listening becomes active listening by closing your eyes and concentrating on what is being said. By repeating the words and sentences, you are mimicking what you hear. You can follow what is being said in the units of the accompanying book and learn the correct spelling at the same time. How to Get Started with Jicki

Curious about how learning a language with Jicki works in practice?

⦁ Click on “Register”

⦁ Enter your first name and e-mail address in the form, create a password, and agree to the terms and conditions

⦁ You will be asked to confirm your e-mail address; to do this, go to your e-mail inbox and click on the e-mail you received from Jicki. Once you click on “Confirm registration“, you will automatically return to the Jicki website

⦁ And that’s it. You now have free access to 2 lessons in each language

A premium subscription allows you to customize your user profile. Select your preferred language and level. If you have logged in via your desktop, it’s best to download the app for your mobile phone as well. That way you can practice at any time or place.

You can try out Jicki for as long as you like. But if you want to listen to more than two lessons per language, Jicki Premium is your best option. It is available in several different subscription plans. This will help you find exactly what suits your needs and purposes.

How to Cancel a Jicki Subscription

If you want to cancel your Jicki premium subscription, it’s very easy to do via the website or the app. To do so, log in to your profile and cancel the subscription in your settings. Alternatively, you can send an e-mail to support@jicki.de or cancel your subscription via the App Store.

To cancel your subscription on iOS:

⦁ Go to “Settings” -> “[Your Name]” -> “iTunes & App Store”

⦁ Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen

⦁ Tap on “Show Apple ID” (you may need to authenticate your Apple ID)

⦁ Tap on “Subscriptions”

⦁ Tap on the subscription you want to manage

⦁ Cancel your subscription

Cancel your subscription, on Android:

⦁ Open the Google Play Store

⦁ Tap on the “Menu icon -> Account -> Subscriptions”

⦁ Search for the subscription you want to cancel

⦁ Tap on “Cancel”

Note that the cancellation period expires 24 hours before the renewal of your Jicki subscription, regardless of whether you have a monthly, three-month, six-month or annual subscription.

Is There a Jicki App?

It goes without saying, there is an app version of Jicki too: Just download it for Android or iOS and you're ready to go. If you have already registered with Jicki, all you have to do is log in and select the language course you prefer.

How Much Does Jicki Cost?

You can choose whether you want a one month, three month, 6 month or yearly subscription.

A Jicki subscription gives you premium access to all languages.

Jicki is very affordable compared to other providers. The price is only determined by the duration: the longer your subscription period, the cheaper it is.

Your subscription renews automatically. If you do not wish to renew, you can cancel your subscription up to 24 hours before your active subscription expires on your profile on the Jicki website, the app or via the app store.

What Can You Do With Jicki for Free?

You can progress quite far with the free version of Jicki. Two learning units for each language are available for as long as you like. If you want more content, you need to upgrade to a premium subscription.

Optional Add-Ons

With the Jicki premium subscription you can access all languages. The exercise book is available to you in PDF form at no extra cost. However, if you want a printed exercise book to go with your units, you will need to buy it separately.
